Claims adminstrator asks court to dismiss BP lawsuit

The court-appointed claims administrator for a multibillion-dollar
settlement between BP PLC and a team of private plaintiffs' attorneys has
asked a judge to throw out the company's lawsuit against him.

Feds seek to block activism defense for lab owner

JACKSON, Miss. (AP) — Federal prosecutors want a judge to prohibit defense
lawyers from saying a laboratory owner's past environmental activism is the
reason behind her prosecution on charges of faking wastewater samples.
Tennie White, owner of Mississippi Environmental Analytical Laboratories
Inc., was indicted Nov. 7 on charges of making false statements and
obstruction related to tests that a company hired her to do.

Oily ducks found after thousands of gallons of oil spill in Arkansas

drill into the Marcellus Shale, a rock layer found to be rich in natural
gas. As the small wildcatter drilled, starting in 2008, regulators
