Director sought for BP oil spill's RESTORE Act Science Program

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration announced it is
searching for a Gulf of Mexico-based director for its BP Deepwater Horizon
oil spill RESTORE Act Science Program. The federal agency will accept
applications through Wednesday, April 23.

Lee County awarded grant to combat illegal dumping

TUPELO, Miss. (WTVA) -- Lee County has been awarded a grant to help efforts
to stop illegal dumping in the city.
The Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality announced the award of
a solid waste assistance grant of $19,320 Monday.
