Hancock Supervisors want right to oversee future household landfills

Biloxi will replace battered sewage lift stations

BILOXI, MS (WLOX) -Hurricane Katrina battered the eight sewage lift
stations along the beach front in the City of Biloxi. Since the storm, that
equipment has operated with temporary by-pass pumps and generators. Their
ongoing operation is critical to transport waste water to the sewage
treatment plants.

Faulty Switch in Lift Station Causes Sewage Leak on Beach

A faulty switch in the Brady Drive lift station caused a section of
coastline east of Beauvoir to Sadler Beach Drive to be closed Tuesday.
These lift stations have been problematic since Hurricane Katrina damaged
them, and the city is working to fix the issue.

MDEQ to test Chico Creek near Houston
