Corps could face billions in 'takings' payments for MR-GO misdeeds

A federal judge ruled Wednesday (May 4) that the Army Corps of Engineers'
liability for lost property values in St. Bernard Parish and the Lower 9th
Ward caused by floodwaters during Katrina and afterwards should be
considered a class action, extending potential damage awards to include
thousands of residents and businesses in the two areas.

Environmental groups sue EPA, seek stricter rules over fracking waste
linked to earthquakes

New federal rule would permit thousands of eagle deaths
