Monday that he was "aware of some irregularities" in the company's testing
of the quality of the cement slurry from the ill-fated Macondo oil well

NEW ORLEANS — An executive from the company that was BP's cement contractor

process for the economic and property damages settlement between BP and
private claimants for damages resulting from the 2010 oil spill, has paid

Source of jet fuel leak at NAS Meridian located; cleanup continues

MERIDIAN — The source of a jet-fuel leak at NAS Meridian has been
located and temporary repairs made, base officials announced Monday.
An underground pipe that supplies jet fuel to the base was the cause of
a leak at the base last Thursday that caused jet fuel to pool up on the
ground and prompted an emergent response by NAS Meridian, Lauderdale County
Emergency Management Agency, U.S. Environmental Services, the Mississippi
Department of Environmental Quality and Region 4 of the Environmental
Protection Agency.
