GOP's Wallace, a farmer, wins seat in Mississippi House

JACKSON, Miss. (AP) — Republican Price Wallace of Mendenhall has won a special election runoff for a seat in the Mississippi House.
He defeated Hayes Patrick of Puckett on Tuesday in House District 77, in parts of Rankin and Simpson counties.

Tourism numbers up on the Coast, officials want to see more growth

SOUTH MISSISSIPPI (WLOX) -The number of people visiting the Coast is going up. A tourism survey released on Wednesday found a 6.3% increase in visitors from 2015-2017.
You don't have to look hard to find tourists on the Coast's waterfront. Jackie Kamenske and her family from Tennessee make regular trips to South Mississippi.

EPA head wants car industry, states to compromise on emissions
