Tropical Storm Cristobal’s La. landfall brings winds, flooding to South Mississippi

SOUTH MISSISSIPPI (WLOX) - As Tropical Storm Cristobal inched closer to the Coast, some counties have already started to get a taste of the storm. As of Sunday morning, George, Hancock, Harrison, Jackson and Pearl River County are all under a river flood warning.

Cristobal downgraded to a depression. Local impacts continue Monday.

SOUTH MISSISSIPPI (WLOX) - Cristobal made landfall Sunday afternoon a little after 5 PM in southeast Louisiana just east of Grand Isle. Even thought the storm will continue moving away from South Mississippi, we are still going to see a flooding threat and storm surge threat through Monday.

This action is a required next step for the Service in its regulatory undertaking to define the scope of the Migratory Bird Treaty Act (MBTA) to provide regulatory certainty to the public, industries, states, tribes and other stakeholders.
