EPA Phaseout of Mailed RCRA Manifests

MDEQ is advising all generators of hazardous waste in Mississippi that beginning June 30, 2021, EPA will no longer accept mailed paper manifests from hazardous waste facilities for processing in the federal e-Manifest system. Hazardous waste generators are required to manifest the transport and delivery of hazardous wastes through the e-Manifest system. Generators have previously been allowed to continue the interim use of paper manifests; however, after June 30, manifests and continuation sheet submissions will only be accepted in electronic, hybrid, data plus image, and image formats only. EPA will return any paper manifests and continuation sheets to the sender that are mailed to the e-Manifest PPC.

For more information or questions, access EPA’s e-Manifest website.
