GULFPORT, Mississippi -- The six-count federal indictment against Scott

Walker and Michael Janus alleges the two men conspired through fraud and

bribery to swindle some $180,000 from the City of D'Iberville.

According to the indictment handed down by the U.S. District Court for the

Southern District of Mississippi, Janus and Walker "did knowingly embezzle,

steal and obtain by fraud" approximately $180,000 from the City of

d'Iberville by submitting fraudulent invoices for consulting services by

Walker's firm, Maxwell-Walker Consulting.

Farm bill language could limit public information about farms; open
