how they would like to see millions of dollars spent to restore damage from
the BP oil spill. MPB's Rhonda Miller reports the public session in Long

Sportsmen believe BP should be held accountable for oil spill

A new national poll shows that hunters and anglers prioritize protecting
the Gulf ecosystem and using fines paid by BP and other parties responsible
for the 2010 Gulf oil disaster to be used for Gulf restoration. The poll
conducted by Chesapeake Beach Consulting shows threats to America's
conservation heritage are priority issues for sportsmen and women, on par
with gun rights.

Coast Guard investigating oil sheen at BP Deepwater Horizon disaster site

The U.S. Coast Guard is investigating an oily sheen spotted in the Gulf of
Mexico last month near the site of the 2010 Deepwater Horizon oil spill 40
miles south of the Mississippi River, a spokesman said Wednesday. Samples
of the sheen taken near the site of the failed BP Macondo oil well have
been sent to the service's Marine Safety Lab in Groton, Conn., to determine
whether the oil is from the BP spill, said Lt. Commander Michael Wolfe.

the BP oil spill, Palmer laid out oil boom in the waters around St. Bernard
Parish.

Lawsuit filed over Hercules pollution

unspecified actual and punitive damages, alleging that the now-vacant

Gov. Bryant to Host Energy Summit, Unveil Energy Plan on Thursday
JACKSON— Gov. Phil Bryant on Thursday, Oct. 4 will host "The Governor's
Energy Summit: Energy and Economic Development in the 21st Century" at the
Jackson Convention Complex in Jackson, Miss. The one-day summit will bring
together industry experts to explore Mississippi's energy future and
includes a keynote address by former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani.
Gov. Bryant will also unveil his energy plan, Energy Works: Mississippi's
Energy Roadmap. The plan details Mississippi's energy landscape and
provides strategies for increasing energy job opportunities, enhancing
