Triathlon is canceled because of bacteria levels in water

WLOX

A coast event is canceled due to a danger lurking in the water. The
bacteria known as Vibrio Vulnificus, is a common one in warm brackish
waters like the Mississippi Sound. Since late spring, there have been
several reported cases of people getting infected as a result of Vibrio,
that's why the owners of Run-N-Tri have decided to cancel their 2nd annual
One Coast Triathlon.

Stopping EPA Uber Alles

Even when states win in court, they lose. Here is one legal remedy.
Wall Street Journal

The Supreme Court scolded the Environmental Protection Agency last week for
bombing Dresden, albeit long after the bombs fell. In 2011, the year the
EPA proposed the anticarbon mercury rule that the Court has now ruled
illegal, some 1,500 fossil-fuel-fired electric units were in operation.
Only about 100 have not already closed or complied at a cost of billions of
dollars.

DAVID DALLAS: BP disaster demonstrates need for change
MBJ

Call me crazy, but I've always had a soft spot for British Petroleum. One
of my favorite childhood memories is having our car filled up and serviced
at the old Walt's Gulf station in the middle of downtown Cleveland,
Mississippi. Mr. Walt had a young man named Charles that worked for him.
Charles would let me help him fill up the car and check the oil and tire
pressure.
